Information management includes every strategic procedure that uses information as an economic factor for business. This means that a company can only build long-term and profitable customer relationships if it has the appropriate knowledge, e.g. individual customer data or aggregated market data. Appropriately prepared information is provided by an ERP system such as SAP Business One. Based on this data, e.g. evaluations, strategic company goals and new business processes can be decided and supported.
