ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming)

 

The SAP-developed Programming language for programming software applications. The 4th generation version now supports Java technologies, such as Java 2 Enterprise Edition 1.3 APIs, Java Message Service and Enterprise JavaBeans 2.0. Not used for SAP Business One.

As of Release 4.6, ABAP can now also be used as the object-oriented programming language ABAP/OO. With ABAP/OO, one can integrate web applications or XML services. This makes it possible, for example, to control data entry or the Interaction with a business partner.
