A budget is a planned or expected cost or amount to be spent on something, project, Cost centre, department, etc. is available. In SAP Business One this is an approved cost structure for an activity or project within a certain time period.
Budgeting differs from cost planning in that it is binding. While in the planning phase you have to estimate the costs as accurately as possible, in the approval phase you set your resources in the form of a budget.
