
A title account in a chart of accounts is a category or heading used to group similar accounts in the accounting system. These accounts are usually organised according to certain criteria, such as assets, liabilities, equity, expenses and income.
Title accounts themselves are not used for postings, but rather for structuring and better understanding the chart of accounts.
