ZUGFeRD is a standard format developed by the "Forum elektronische Rechnung Deutschland (FeRD)". It is intended to make it easier for companies to exchange invoices. Data can be exchanged in various ways, including via email. Structured data is transmitted as a PDF, for example, and can be read directly. This saves smaller companies in particular from having to use the costly EDI format.
