In this method of valuation, the cost of an item is calculated on the serial number or batch. When the item is issued, the actual cost of the item is shown.
This allows the profitability to be tailored to the respective serial number or Charge be calculated. This provides a better overview of the profit of each item in SAP Business One.
In the video, the first example is a batch production in a chocolate factory. As the cost of ingredients and labour changes during production and this also changes the profit for each batch of chocolate, batch cost management is important here.
The second example shown is an electronics company that buys and resells serial number items. These items are often purchased at daily prices. In the innovation in SAP Business One 9.1. the prices for the respective items can be assigned by the serial numbers. This allows the revenue of the set prices to be calculated accurately.
