scalability

In IT, scalability describes the performance and complexity of programmes. In other words, the behaviour of software or algorithms in terms of resource requirements as the amount of input increases. A software is ?well scalable? if, for example, it manages with ten times the performance with approximately ten times the resources. A ?poorly scalable? software would need ten times as much at twice the load and fail at more load.

Scalability comes up in this blog.
