The RFQ scenario in SAP Business One

SAP Business One users can send price requests electronically to business partners. Of the process for sending a supplier inquiry and entering offers is part of SAP Business One. The SAP Integration Framework uses a process called RFQ (Request for Quotation). This process enables SAP Business One users to automatically generate a web-based quote form. The SAP Integration Framework server provides the form as a website. The requested suppliers can send their offers directly to the requesting buyer. In this way, SAP Business One updates the data in the supplier request.

Create an online request in SAP Business One

online request

A user in SAP Business One creates a supplier request and activates the checkbox “Create online request” . As a result, based on the supplier request, the integration framework creates a website, which it hosts on the SAP Integration Framework server. In addition, it creates an email that contains a link to the website and sends the email to the prospective vendor or vendors. The potential seller then receives the email, opens the link to the website and enters their information for the supplier request.

Everything in one form

The supplier submits the form and the integration framework sends the data to SAP Business One. In addition, the SAP IntegrationFramework sends an e-mail with the transmitted information to the supplier. An email is also sent to the SAP Business One user who created the request. The supplier inquiry scenario supports all languages provided by SAP Business One. The scenario uses the language setting of the business partner for the e-mail and the language setting of the request for the website.

The result is a clear table with the results and conditions of the request. You can then continue working with the collected data directly in the ordering process. Without transmission effort and errors.
