After the costly acquisitions in the past years, SAP is making the next big purchase. In addition to the human resources software Sucessfactor for 3.4 billion euros and the trading platform for 4.2 billion euros, SAP now wants to take over the provider of corporate software for travel management and travel expense processing Concur for a whole 6.5 billion euros. This is the most expensive takeover in the company's history.
Until now, SAP only made a small part of its turnover in the cloud-business. The acquisitions not only expand this offering, they are also expected to double revenue in this area in the coming years. Concur alone is expected to generate annual cloud revenues of over 540 million euros.
