The future of the ERP-software lies in the Flexibility. These are the findings of an ERP study conducted by the software company Planat. 49 per cent of the IT experts surveyed Adaptability as the key to the future success of an ERP system. Topics such as Industry 4.0 are still not in focus.
Also important remains the issue of usability. 18 per cent of participants see user-friendliness as a key criterion for a successful ERP solution.
Digitalisation and Cloud in the ERP Study
A further 12 per cent assume that the Performance capability systems must be constantly adapted to the demands of the market, customers and digitalisation in order to be successful. The cloud On the other hand, only one in ten people see this as the future of ERP systems. At the same time, only nine per cent of those surveyed are of the opinion that the ERP software of a larger Mobility Needed.
Flexibility and industry proximity in demand
Conversely, a full 57 per cent of experts believe that ERP systems often fail due to their own inflexible system structure.
