End of the validity period or validity of an object, e.g. a bill of material or a routing, in the production planning system.
That "Valid until"-Date is used in SAP Business One to control the time availability of articles, business partners, prices and other elements.
Areas of application:
- item master data: Limitation of the time period in which an article can be used in purchasing or sales documents.
- Business partner master data: Definition of an activity period for business partners. Outside of this period, only parked vouchers can be created.
- Special prices: After expiry of the validity period, the standard price from the price list applies again.
- recurring bookings: End date for time-limited postings, e.g. loan repayments.
- Asset accounting: Manual entry or automatic derivation of the activation date of the system.
- Projects: Indication of a planned closing date and an actual closing date.
Notes:
- The date can be used as "From date", "Until date" or both can be used.
- A justification in the comments field is recommended if a time limit is set.
