The modular parts list contains the modules of a modular system. It is often used as a separate parts list created and related to the general parts list. The individual modules of a modular BOM are reused in the BOMs of assemblies or higher-level products. The advantage of a modular BOM is that only one modular BOM needs to be maintained in the case of a repeat group. This reduces the storage effort and simplifies change management.
