Re-order levels (SAP Business One)

E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

Replenishment days In SAP Business One, specify the number of days that pass from ordering an item from a supplier to its arrival in stock – known as the lead time.

Meaning for the disposition

  • MRP run: The material requirements planning takes into account the procurement lead times when calculating the order timing.
  • Availability check: In the event of under-coverage, it will be checked when the goods can be made available at the earliest.
  • Order suggestions Automatic order recommendations take lead times into account.

Use in SAP Business One

Reorder days are stored per item in the item master data or per supplier in the purchasing data. They are essential for reliable delivery date planning and help to avoid stockouts without unnecessarily building up high safety stocks.

Practical tip

Regularly check lead times against actual delivery times – especially with international suppliers, these can change significantly seasonally.
