The MES is a production and process control system, the link between the PLC or IPC on the production and process side and the ERP-systems in the administration. MES solutions cover the technical requirements from the control level to the production management level. The systems also include Scada functionalities as well as MDE and PDA functionalities. This means that an MES can record, archive and analyse process, machine and operating data both online and offline.
