The balance sheet in SAP Business One shows the financial position of a company at a specific point in time. It includes assets (assets), liabilities (liabilities) and equity and serves as an important tool for strategic decisions in the areas of financing, investment and controlling.
Creation and printing
The report can be accessed via the menu path Finance > Financial reports > Actual reports > Balance sheet can be created. The report can be printed and exported directly from the system.
Customisation options
SAP Business One offers a wide range of Selection criteria and Display optionsto adapt the balance sheet to individual requirements:
- Selection criteria:
- Date: Consideration of the booking or Document date.
- Deadline: Preparation of the balance sheet for a specific period.
- Templates: Use of predefined report templates, e.g. in accordance with IFRS.
- Currency: Display in local, system or foreign currency.
- Additional information: Values in Foreign currencies, percentage shares.
- Consideration: Parked receipts, closing balances, revaluations.
- Reference fields: Filtering by specific booking types (e.g. rebookings).
- Display options:
- Level of detail: Selection of aggregation levels (1 to 4).
- Subtotals: Grouped values according to balance sheet structure.
- Hide title: Reduced view focussing on G/L accounts.
- Sorting: Adjustment according to G/L account numbers.
Integration with other functions
- Chart of accounts: The balance sheet is based on the balance sheet structure defined in SAP Business One. chart of accounts. Changes or adjustments to the chart of accounts are reflected directly in the balance sheet.
- Journal vouchers: Optionally, these can be taken into account in order to obtain a precise overview.
- Adjustment bookings: Adjustments for the annual accounts can be excluded in order to emphasise regular balances.
- Inventory management: With active continuous inventory management, the inventory value in the balance sheet corresponds to the actual inventory value.
Export and print options
The balance sheet can be exported directly from SAP Business One in various formats, e.g. Excel, PDF or other common formats. Comprehensive printing options are also available to prepare the reports for internal or external purposes.
