Fund (SAP Business One)

Only valid for this country: United States (US)
A fund is a separate and distinct fiscal/accounting object in SAP Business One that contains a complete, self-balancing set of accounts to monitor the use of an organisation's financial resources/cash, together with the associated liabilities, residual balances and related changes.
The amounts are differentiated by fund so that certain activities can be carried out or objectives achieved that are subject to certain regulations, restrictions or limitations. Organisations can set up funds at a lower level than required for external reporting. Fund groups must then be used.
Funds are divided into fund types that have special accounting and reporting requirements.
