
The costs associated with transporting goods or materials from one place to another by sea, air or land.
Transport costs are a component of the Purchase costswhich also include insurance, customs and fees. They are paid at the Goods Receipt added to the value of the goods.
Importance in SAP Business One:
- Procurement costs are recognised via the Freight module (also Additional expenses called).
- Article costs consist of the Purchase price and the purchase costs.
- Freight costs can also be invoiced retrospectively if they are not yet known at the time of invoicing.
Capture:
- Freight costs are defined in the document footer of the purchasing document.
- In the table Non-stock items travel expenses can be recognised in the outgoing invoice.
