The available stock minus allocations, reservations and back orders in SAP Business One.
The available stock therefore shows how many units of an item are actually available for the sale or the production are available.
Calculation:
- Stock + ordered quantity - ordered quantity
Meaning and application:
- Negative stock means that the ordered quantity exceeds the available quantity.
- The availability check is triggered in the sales order if the stock becomes negative.
- In the report "Available to Promise" the available quantity on the due date is displayed.
Display the available stock:
- GP trunk > Right mouse: Available to Promise
- GP master > Right mouse: Stock status
- Warehouse management > Stock reports > Stock status
Availability in the production process:
- the Material Requirements Planning checks the availability of the components.
- The scheduling assistant takes available stocks into account and suggests minimum quantities.
