Artificial intelligence can be defined in many ways, in particular as an automated system that is able to analyse data and make decisions autonomously. In fact, this often leads to people equating artificial intelligence with Chatbots link. Depending on the extent to which human cognitive functions are replicated, two different types of artificial intelligence can be distinguished:

"Weak" AI, in the case of a machine that simulates a certain human behaviour.
"Strong" AI, in the case of a machine that reproduces human behaviour and at the same time captures its own reasoning (an ability that is still in the realm of science fiction).
However, a prerequisite for AI is that artificial intelligence systems are able to improve autonomously over time with the help of machine learning (or automatic learning).
