Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence can be defined in many ways, especially as an automated system capable of analysing data and making decisions autonomously. In fact, this often leads to people linking artificial intelligence with chatbots. Depending on the extent to which human cognitive functions are replicated, two different types of artificial intelligence can be distinguished:
"Weak" AI, in the case of a machine that simulates a certain human behaviour.
"Strong" AI, in the case of a machine that reproduces a human behaviour while capturing its own reasoning (a capability still in the realm of science fiction).
However, a prerequisite for AI is that artificial intelligence systems are able to improve autonomously over time with the help of machine learning (or automatic learning).
