Of the Linkage plan (Relationship Map) is a graphical tool in SAP Business One that visually displays the relationships between various documents and business objects.
Functionality
The linking plan displays the entire document chain of a transaction as a clear diagram. Starting from any document, such as an invoice, all preceding and subsequent documents are shown:
- Forward link From quotation through order and delivery to invoice
- Backlink: From payment back to the original document
- Parallel receipts: Returns, credit notes or partial deliveries
Use in SAP Business One
The link plan is accessed via the context menu of a document. It is particularly useful for tracing business transactions, clarifying complaints, and checking the document chain during the annual financial statement audit.
Practical tip
Use the link plan for customer queries to get an immediate overview of the entire process from offer to payment.
