Are you still on your journey or have you already arrived? Especially when it comes to digitalisation, German medium-sized companies often experience a sense of helplessness. Do we have a strategy, and if so, the right one? Most articles published on Industry 4.0 (including by us) also don't provide a precise guide. To compensate for this situation, here are two recommendations that, at least broadly, explain the prerequisites for being able to call yourself „digitised“.
On the one hand, the „Industry 4.0 Readiness Check“ can help. The multiple-choice procedure developed by two German companies is designed to provide companies with information on their digital maturity, divided into six sections on topics such as strategy and organisation.
As a reference work, again the 200 pages of comprehensive workwhich primarily answers all economic and business law questions on the topic of digitalisation. For example, the PDF created by a law firm on behalf of the BDI also shows what new legal rulings companies will have to face in the digital sector in the future. It is therefore exactly the right basis for anyone who feels uncertain about issues such as data protection and copyright.
