Batch (SAP B1)

In SAP Business One, batches are managed that correspond to the following definition: A quantity of material or substances that should have a uniform quality and condition and which
according to the requirements in a single production order in the same cycle under the same production conditions
conditions is established.
A batch or lot is expected to be homogeneous within certain limits. The size of a batch can be defined by a fixed quantity
quantity or by the material that was produced in a certain period of time.
In some regions, lots are considered subsets of a batch and are usually given an additional lot number,
which contains the original batch number. In other regions only the word "Los" is used and has exactly the same meaning as the word "Charge".

Serial numbers and batch numbers are differentiated in that serial numbers are always composed of a quantity of 1 and batch numbers of a larger quantity.
