Debtor creditor

Versino Financial Suite

On debtor creditor In SAP Business One, a business partner is a partner with whom a company maintains both customer and supplier relationships. The partner is thus simultaneously debtor and creditor.

In SAP Business One

For a partner who is both customer and supplier, the company assigns two business partners with different codes to the field „Associated Supplier/Customer“ on the Accounting tab. • Generally speaking, the two are linked: The user selects the corresponding supplier account there. Then, reminder notifications and due date lists display the partner’s open entries and outgoing invoices. These invoices can be reconciled with each other, for example via business partners • Internal reconciliation • Reconciliation. Under Previous reconciliations, the user can review the result and undo a reconciliation.

Balances on the „busy“ side

Payment and debit note assistants also take such situations into account. In the payment assistant, the option „Consider customer due amounts and supplier receivables“ includes customers with a liability to the company and suppliers with open receivables. The debit note assistant can include customers with a balance of zero or a negative balance. A negative balance means that the customer has a credit note or paid too much and thus basically has a claim against the company.
