One Group In the Web Client of SAP Business One, there is a thematic organization of content. The term has two meanings: it refers to the organization of an object such as a customer order and the organization of the start page.
Groups within an object
The web client initially presents all elements of an object in the web browser. Often the information is organized thematically. This organization corresponds to the tabs in the windows of the classic client and is often called a group in the web client. For example, a customer order has the groups General, Content, Logistics, Accounting, Attachments, and Custom Fields. The General group is immediately visible. The user can access other groups by clicking on the image navigation bar on the right edge of the image. More precisely, they can switch to another group by clicking on the group in the horizontal bar.
Groups on the homepage
Navigation on the home page works similarly. The groups are also displayed in a horizontal bar there, and a click immediately jumps to the selected group. The groups on the home page correspond to the modules of the classic client. The „My Home Page“ group is best compared with a menu that is customized for the user.
In addition to the groups that are delivered by default, the user can define their own groups. A new group appears in the top horizontal list of all groups and on the start page. The user can only change the order of tiles within a group.
Demarcation
In classic client environments, groups correspond to the tabs of a window and modules. Related terms are tile (SAP Business One), web client (SAP Business One), and main menu.
