on-premises

The application is continuously updated in return for a software maintenance fee, but the company itself is responsible for maintaining the underlying IT infrastructure. The "on-premise" model is contrasted with the use of "On-Demand" In contrast, an external provider takes over the operation and maintenance of the entire IT system.
