Mollart Engineering Ltd has achieved 14 percent more turnover since the introduction of SAP Business One. The company has also benefited greatly from the software solution in other ways.
Sooner or later, every successful company needs a software solution to support its day-to-day business. So does Mollart Engineering Ltd. The company holds a leading position in the deep drilling sector and supplies customers from the aerospace, automotive, oil, nuclear power, semiconductor and telecommunications industries. And it does so internationally. It is clear that this family business with 85 years of company history needs good software support.
Three years ago, Mollart Engineering was still working with a green screen application that was optimised to provide Microsoft Windows software. This system was used in three different business units. All important company information was therefore also available in three different databases stored. This not only makes work processes and the exchange of data prone to errors. It also impairs a company's efficiency, as production processes are difficult to scale and there is little overview of inventory. "So we decided to look for a comprehensive ERP solution that could unite all business areas in one database and handle our different manufacturing requirements," says Mike Pragnell, Operations Manager at Mollart.
The acquisition of a company that is already SAP Business One finally gave the go-ahead to replace the outdated system. Mollart Engineering Ltd. immediately sympathised with the ERP solution as it offers a very user-friendly interface for the business areas to be implemented and the system can be combined with various drill-down menus. SAP Business One also enables the company to create accurate job costings, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Mollart Engineering Ltd. has increased its turnover by a full 14 per cent since the solution was introduced two years ago!
They also benefit from greater control over their stock and work processes, in which errors are minimised thanks to the software solution.
Recently, Mollart Engineering Ltd. received the "Run Faster Award", which is given to companies that focus most on innovation and remain open to change. They were also recognised for their optimal use of SAP Business One. Mollart operations manager Mike Pragnell comments: "We are convinced that other companies can also benefit from this collaboration.
