Managing inventory with more than one unit of measure for different items is a regular scenario for a ERP software such as SAP Business One.
Managing the same position with different Units of measure in various types of transactions (such as sales, purchasing, etc.) is also common.
But the administration of the same articles in the same kind of Transactions with different units of measure may not be so common.
To date, SAP Business One has managed the handling of the first two cases mentioned above flawlessly. With SAP Business One 9.0, the third case can also be implemented efficiently.
The greatest possible flexibility is achieved by defining unit of measure groups with rules for converting between base units of measure and alternative units of measure within the groups.
