When the ERP introduction is almost complete, it's time to train the future users. It is clear that there are a few things to consider when introducing a company to new software. This article shows why, who, how and what is important for this software training.

WHY software training?
Everyone has a different level of knowledge when it comes to software. What's more, no matter how independently each system can be operated, customisation for different companies means that the usual lists, masks or forms differ from the standard system. standard software and requires users to have a certain level of expertise to ensure that the software actually achieves the desired effect.
WHO does the software training?
As with the ERP introduction, two parties are needed to ensure that the training makes sense for all participants. Firstly, the person who brings the knowledge of the software and secondly, the person who is integrated in the company concerned. One area is covered by the ERP provider itself. They often already have the necessary training experience and suitable documentation.
The other area is covered by an employee of the company who is familiar with the processes to be integrated. This "KeyUser" was already integrated into all work processes during the introduction, but can still understand the software from the perspective of his employees. Together, these two parties can create suitable training for future ERP users.
HOW to prepare the software training?
To be well prepared for the training, simply go through all the important points using the W questions, e.g:
- When does the training take place?
- Who is the trained company?
- Who will run the company's schools?
- How long does the training take?
- What is trained?
- What documents or other support does the training require (e.g. laptops)?
Tip: Do not try to train functional software using case studies from other companies. Just as all companies are different, the software is not the same either. It would therefore not be very helpful.
WHAT happens after the software training?
Create training documents that can later be used as documentation for the software. In addition, the company will probably have requests for changes to the software. Before implementing these changes, you should consider whether it is necessary to train your employees again after these changes.
