One-Stop-Shop (OSS)

Versino Financial Suite

That One-stop-shop procedure (OSS) is a sales tax procedure for sales within the EU. The procedure applies to EU-based e-commerce and digital services.

Consequences for accounting

A company with B2C sales in several EU countries operates with many different VAT rates. Therefore, the company sets a separate tax code for each rate in SAP Business One. Determining the tax code can become complex in this process. In the DATEV export, however, these sales are supposed to be under a common BU key, for example 240. For OSS processing, the Versino Financial Suite offers its own capabilities that the company can pre-configure in advance.

SAP notes and reporting

Several SAP Notes are relevant to OSS. SAP Note 3062304 concerns the performance location for electronic services. SAP Note 3143352 deals with EU One-Stop-Shop reporting. SAP Note 3169059 provides the OSS-GEP format for the Electronic File Manager. Importing this format depends on the test database, the appropriate variant for SQL or HANA, and the status of the feature pack. For complex cases, contact a SAP Local Product Expert is recommended.
