Activity status (SAP Business One)

Of the Activity status in SAP Business One indicates whether an activity is active, inactive, or completed.

Inactive and closed

With each activity, the user determines whether it is inactive or completed after completion. The checkboxes Inactive and Completed are available for this purpose. The difference has consequences: An inactive activity cannot be reactivated. An inactive activity, however, no longer appears in the activity reports. The user can, however, reactivate it.

Status for tasks

The fields on the General tab are based on the activity type. For the task activity type, SAP Business One additionally requires a status.

Effect in overviews

The status determines which activities the reports show. The activity overview for business partners shows all active and unfinished activities for the selected business partner. The My Activities report shows by default only the open activities of the active user. The user can change this preset and then view all activities.

Demarcation

The Follow-up activity button adds another activity that is directly linked to the first one (see „Follow-up activity (SAP Business One)“. This button is only available for activities that are not recurring (see „Recurring activity (SAP Business One)“. Furthermore, the Status field in the Campaign window with the values Open, Canceled, and Completed must be distinguished from it (see „Campaign (SAP Business One)“.
