A group of Articles in SAP Business One that have a specific relationship to each other and can be accessed together in a group.
Article groups in SAP Business One are a function that is used to categorise and structure articles. They enable a logical organisation of articles based on various criteria such as product type, product line or supplier.
Main functions:
- Categorisation and structuring: Article groups help to sort articles into meaningful categories, which makes it easier to manage and analyse articles.
- Default settings: Default settings such as stock group, control code and unit of measurement can be defined within each item group. These default settings are automatically applied to new items that are added to the group, which reduces manual effort.
- Hierarchical structure: Item groups can be organised hierarchically so that subgroups can be created. This enables even more detailed categorisation of the items.
- Simplified search and analysis: Article groups simplify the search and filtering of articles. They also enable the creation of reports and analyses at group level.
- Improved data maintenance: The use of article groups makes data maintenance in the Article master clearer and more efficient.
