A web-based tool that you can use to customise your extensions, for example the Versino Financial Suite for easy deployment.
The Extension Manager is a web portal that is integrated into the System Landscape Directory (SLD) of SAP Business One. It is used to manage, distribute and update Extensions (additional programmes) within the SAP Business One landscape.
Main functions:
- Import of extension packages: Extension packages (in ZIP format) can be imported using a wizard.
- Assignment to company databases: After the import, the extensions can be assigned to specific company databases. This is also done via a wizard.
- Set the start mode: The start mode of the extension can be configured both globally for all users and individually for each user.
- upgrade of extensions: The Extension Manager automatically recognises new versions and allows you to update to the latest version based on the version number in the .ard file.
Call options:
- Directly via the URL:
https://:/ExtensionManager - Via the link "Manage extensions for simplified deployment" in the SAP Business One menu: Administration > Add-ons > add on-Administration.
Once an extension has been assigned to a company database, it is automatically installed in the background the next time a user logs in. The status and possible error messages of the extension can be viewed in the Add-on manager (Administration > Add-ons) can be viewed.
Creation of extensions:
To create extensions, the Extension Registration Data Generator can be used. This is either in the SAP Business One Studio (Microsoft Visual Studio) or available as a stand-alone application.
