the Form settings In SAP Business One, there is a window in which the user specifies which fields a window displays, in what order they appear, and whether entries are possible in them. The user opens the form settings via the button of the same name in the toolbar.
Functionality
The Tables Format tab lists all available fields in a table. The order from top to bottom corresponds to the display in the window from left to right. For each field, the user marks two checkboxes: Visible determines whether the field appears. Active determines whether an entry is allowed. By dragging and dropping, he or she changes the arrangement of the columns. For some fields, only Visible can be selected. These fields are purely display fields, such as the In Stock field.
Typical applications are additional columns in documents. In this way, the user can blend the columns Basic Type and Basic Ref. (Basic Reference). In the Inward Goods window, he makes the column Stock visible, which is normally hidden. On the Document • Table tab, for example, he selects a project. A security check then asks whether the project should be updated in the existing rows. The user can also customize selection lists: The button opens the List – Settings window with the displayed columns.
Storage per user
SAP Business One stores the form settings of a window individually for each user. Each user thus sets their windows to their own needs. The Restore Default button resets the window to its initial state. In larger companies where several employees perform the same task, a uniform interface is often desired. For this purpose, the window offers the Users button Copy Form Settings. It transfers all the user settings of a user to any number of other users or user groups. This applies especially to window settings such as the size.
Demarcation
The form settings in SAP Business One are not the same as form settings (VFS account sheet). The second entry belongs to a separate product. However, the multilingual field content is governed by the translatable field (SAP Business One).
