A major chapter in the integration of business processes has been tackled in the new version of SAP Business One. Integrated project management is a not entirely undemanding endeavour in an ERP structure. Off-the-shelf ERP systems are therefore rarely suitable, especially for service providers.
As far as the new functions are concerned, SAP certainly does not claim to offer major enhancements such as MariProject to want to replace it. The add-on is too powerful for project-orientated companies.
However, a start has been made, and with this start and the possibilities of SAP Business One cutomising, a lot can already be achieved for many customers.
