Prepaid expenses SAP Business One

Prepaid expenses and deferred charges are a key concept in the financewhich plays a central role in the comprehensive ERP solution SAP Business One. This accounting tool enables companies to allocate income and expenses on an accrual basis, which is essential for an accurate and fair financial presentation.

Prepaid expenses relate to income that has already accrued to a company but has not yet been recognised as income as it is economically attributable to a later financial year. Examples of this are advance payments or prepayments for services or products that will only be provided in a subsequent period.
In SAP Business One, accruals and deferrals are mapped using special postings in the financial accounting module. Users can create accrual postings to correctly recognise revenue that is generated in one period but not realised until the next period.
SAP Business One enables flexible handling of accruals and deferrals. Companies can make customised accrual postings to accurately reflect special business transactions or changed circumstances.

Expansion through Versino Financial SuiteVersino Financial Suite extends this functionality by providing specialised tools and automated processes for managing accruals and deferrals in SAP Business One. The Versino Financial Suite enables the automated creation of accrual postings, which increases efficiency and reduces sources of error. This allows companies to define individual accrual periods for individual invoice items, enabling more accurate and specific accruals.
