release capability

Release capability means that even older individual adaptations are automatically available again after the next programme release (release = edition, version, publication, release of a software).

Release capability in terms of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software means that the software can be routinely updated and improved without affecting the company's business processes. This enables the company to implement new features and customisations quickly and efficiently to adapt to changing business needs. Important components of release capability are comprehensive testing and a rigorous testing process to ensure that updated functions work properly.

There are usually annual service packs for SAP Business One that contain new functionalities and customisations, and there are also more irregular, larger releases that contain newer functions and can expand the architecture of the ERP software.
