Of the S-User is the identifier that a SAP customer uses to identify themselves with SAP. It consists of a user code and a password. With the S-User, the customer accesses information that SAP only makes available to customers.
Deployment
SAP distinguishes between publicly accessible information and information that is reserved for customers. Public content is often marked with the public label. When the user wants to access non-public content, SAP prompts them to log in with their S-user. This applies, for example, to SAP information.
The S-User is also required for downloads. The installation program for SAP Business One first downloads it from the SAP Marketplace. To do this, the user needs an S-User.
Application
The S-user is usually assigned to the SAP partner (sales partner). Alternatively, a legitimate person within the company can do this. The activation by SAP usually takes 24 hours. When assigning the S-user, the option to download software should be enabled.
Demarcation
The S-User is used to access information sources and downloads. Service requests are usually handled by the SAP partner as part of maintenance contracts. The entries Support Desk (SAP Business One) and 1st Level Support (SAP Business One) fit this purpose. Some functions additionally require a SAP Universal ID. This identity groups together several S-Users.
