User keyboard shortcuts are function keys in SAP Business One that the user assigns a specific window to. The keys F2 to F12 are available; F1 is reserved for help.
Furnishings
The user opens the Extras • User Keyboard Shortcuts • Configure menu. Then he proceeds in four steps:
1. In the Key combination field, he selects a function key from the selection list at the top left. 2. In the Module column, he selects the module in which the window is located. 3. In the Window column, he selects the window that he wants to assign the key to. 4. He clicks on the Assign button.
The assigned window then appears in the Current Window field. For example, the F2 key can be used to assign the Customers order window. To cancel the assignment, the user selects the function key and clicks on the Remove button.
Overview of occupancy
A list of all the function keys that are assigned to the associated windows is displayed in the Configure window on the List tab. Alternatively, the user can call Extras • User Keyboard Shortcuts • Keyboard Shortcuts.
Web Client
The web client does not support keyboard commands for technical reasons.
Demarcation
User keyboard shortcuts are different from general keyboard commands. General keyboard commands include Ctrl+A for switching to the Add mode (SAP Business One), Ctrl+F for the search mode (SAP Business One), and Ctrl+D for duplicating a record. In addition to the individual key assignments, the user can also create their own user menu. The user menu is not available in the cockpit. For navigation through menus, see also the menu bar (SAP Business One) and the main menu (SAP Business One).
