the Business Payments Coalition (BPC) is a US initiative dedicated to modernising and increasing the efficiency of electronic business processes and payments in the B2B sector.

Background and goals
Originally founded in 2011 as the "Remittance Coalition", it was renamed the Business Payments Coalition in 2016.
The BPC is made up of over 600 organisations and individuals working together to promote the adoption of electronic payments, remittance data and invoices in the B2B sector.
The main objective is to increase the efficiency of electronic B2B payments throughout the entire process.
Activities and initiatives
The BPC identifies obstacles to the introduction of electronic B2B-payments and is working to eliminate them.
It offers educational resources on electronic payments and develops new solutions for trading partners.
One focus is the development of a standardised framework for electronic invoice exchange in the USA.
