E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

An account on the second level of the chart of accounts in SAP Business One.
The first level consists of eight drawers that contain all subordinate accounts. These are organised in a hierarchy with up to five levels.

  • the First level (Level 1) consists of eight established titles drawers that cannot be changed:
    • Assets
    • liabilities
    • Equity
    • Proceeds
    • Effort
    • Financial result
    • Income statement note 1
    • Income statement note 2
  • Primary accounts can not on level 1 exist, as this level only contains titles. You are on Levels 2 to 5 (or higher, up to 10 levels).
  • Primary accounts are bookable accounts and can be used for transactions, while titles are only for grouping.
  • Menu path to the definition of primary accountsEdit chart of accounts → Assign account in general ledger account determination.
  • Note: The statement refers to a Simplified hierarchy (up to 5 levels), while SAP Business One up to 10 levels supported.
