Use in SAP Business One

In SAP Business One, the following relates to Recurring activities the possibility to systematically plan and manage CRM activities such as calls, meetings, tasks, or notes that repeat at regular intervals. This differs from "Recurring Transactions", which relate to repeated marketing documents such as sales or purchase receipts.

Definition and setup of a recurring activity: An activity in SAP Business One is used for documenting interactions with business partners or internal processes. To set up an activity as recurring, proceed as follows:

  1. Activity creation:
    • Navigate to Module > Business partner > Activity.
    • Alternatively, you can use the menu bar in a sales receipt Go to > New Activity select or right-click on the receipt New activity Select. The receipt will then be automatically linked.
  2. Planning and Repetition
    • Fill in the relevant fields for the activity (e.g. type, subject, business partner, due date).
    • In the activity window, you will find the tab planning. Here you can set a date, a time, and a reminder if needed.
    • In the section Repetition Information Could you define the activity's repetition frequency. Settings differ depending on the various repetition values. Available options are: None, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Annually.
