Reference fields (Ref1, Ref2, Ref3) in journal entries are used to store additional information. They make it possible to store important details such as invoice numbers, customer benefits or other relevant data for a posting in order to ensure traceability and analysis of bookings.
Configuration:
The values for the reference fields can be set using the Reference field links be set up. This is available at administration > Furnishings > Generally available. Here, the fields can be customised to the company's individual requirements.
