Mollart Engineering Ltd has achieved 14 per cent more turnover since the introduction of SAP Business One. The company has also benefited greatly from the software solution in other ways.
Sooner or later, every successful company needs a software solution to support its day-to-day operations. This is also the case for Mollart Engineering Ltd. The company has a leading position in the field of deep drilling and supplies customers from the aerospace, automotive, petroleum, nuclear power, semiconductor and telecommunications industries. And it does so internationally. It is certain that the family business with 85 years of history needs good software support.
Three years ago, Mollart Engineering was working with a green-screen application optimised to deliver Microsoft Windows software. This system was used in three different business areas. All the important company information was thus also available in three different databases stored. This not only makes workflows and data sharing error-prone. It also affects a company's efficiency, as manufacturing operations are poorly scalable and there is little visibility of inventory. So we decided to look for a comprehensive ERP solution that could unite all business areas in one database and handle our diverse manufacturing needs," says Mike Pragnell, operations manager at Mollart.
The takeover of a company that already has SAP Business One finally gave the go-ahead to replace the outdated system. Mollart Engineering Ltd immediately sympathised with the ERP solution as it offers a very user-friendly interface for the business areas to be implemented and the system can be combined with various drill-down menus. With SAP Business One, the company can also create accurate job costings, reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Mollart Engineering Ltd. has increased its turnover by a full 14 per cent since the introduction of the solution two years ago!
They also benefit from greater control over their inventory and workflows, where the software solution minimises errors.
Recently, Mollart Engineering Ltd. received the 'Run Faster Award', which is given to companies that focus most on innovation and remain open to change. They were also recognised for making the most of SAP Business One. Mike Pragnell, Mollart's operations manager, said: "We are convinced that other companies can also benefit from this collaboration.
