Data lakes and data warehouses are buzzwords you hear when it comes to data storage in the context of Big Data. In fact, they also denote two different approaches. The „lake“ in Data Lake is indeed a fitting term: a large pool filled with raw data that is stored there unstructured and without a specific use. A data warehouse, on the other hand, keeps ordered, structured, filtered data in stock. For what purpose should you use which approach?

Together with Turkish and German companies, matrix business solution GmbH has now launched a project to close these gaps. As a member of the German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce, matrix is seeking dialogue on this on as broad a basis as possible.
This results in somewhat smaller innovations, but not a few urgently needed ones such as solutions for big data on the Bosporus.
