On Inactive account is an account status in SAP Business One that indicates the account is blocked for new postings. In the new chart of accounts list view of the VFS Financial Cockpit from v04.2026, the status of inactive accounts is directly visible in the list row, allowing master data discrepancies to be quickly identified.
Context
As a rule, larger chart of accounts contain accounts that become inactive over time – due to restructurings, chart of accounts changes, or a switch to a different accounting framework. The list view of the Financial Cockpit makes inactive accounts visible in the overall overview, without the accountant having to check each entry individually.
