In SAP Business One a Company unit or Departmentthat performs a specific business function - such as the production of certain products or the provision of services - as a Profit centre designated.

The profit centre represents a Department or a Range and serves to consolidate the Revenues and Expenditureresulting from the activities of the respective organisational unit.

Distribution of costs:
Costs are calculated using a Cost centre key to the corresponding profit centre.

Reporting:
Of the Cost centre report in the cost accounting supplies:

  • An overview of Costs and Yieldssorted by area or department.
  • A detailed analysis of the financial situation of a profit centre.
