E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

That Transaction volume refers to the number of postings per tenant and period in SAP Business One. In the context of the VFS-DATEV multi-period export, transaction volume is the key performance factor: high posting numbers extend the export duration and make the use of a test environment before the live export recommendable.

Context

The multi-period export of the VFS processes bookings from several months in one run by automatically splitting the data into monthly booking batches. For clients with a high transaction volume – for example, at year-end closing or during data migrations – this process can generate considerable run times. The VFS documentation therefore recommends testing extensive exports in a test environment first. (Source: V04.2026_V2, Ch. 4.1.7, p. 13)
