That Launchpad is the tile-based start page of SAP Business One, which offers the user an entry point to the most important functional areas after logging in. In the VFS Financial Cockpit, the launchpad is not available in the standalone variant — this variant starts directly in the cockpit interface.
Context
The standalone version of the Financial Cockpit runs without a dependent SAP B1 client and therefore does not require a launchpad as an entry point. Authentication is carried out directly via existing SAP B1 user data. Users operating the Financial Cockpit as a stand-alone application on a second monitor can start it without having to go through the SAP B1 launchpad. (Source: V04.2026_V2, Ch. 3.4, pp. 8–9)
Demarcation
The Launchpad is not a VFS product – it is a standard SAP B1 component. VFS utilises the Launchpad in integrated operation but deliberately omits it in the standalone version to enable independent use of the Financial Cockpit.
