E-invoicing in Germany: How to implement the obligation with SAP Business One

That DATEV Template is the predefined export structure that the VFS DATEV export is based on. It specifies which DATEV fields are populated, in what order booking data is transferred, and in which free text or additional field the document link for digital document linking is embedded.

Context

The proof link – the URL to the archived original document in the DMS – is embedded in a free-text or additional field of the DATEV template. The exact field position depends on the configuration of the export structure. The DATEV template thus forms the technical bridge between the VFS-DATEV export and the firm's software: only if the link is in the correct field can the tax firm call up the document directly from DATEV.
